Do I need an account?
No account, no sign-up. Upload your images, choose your tools and download your finished designs. There are no watermarks.
What can Design Studio do?
Remove backgrounds, trace SVG vectors, create halftone dots, add distress textures, upscale up to 4× and resize for print. Brush tools help refine the finished PNG. Export at 4500×5400 for Amazon Merch or choose a custom size. Image to prompt turns any image into a detailed prompt for your AI image tool.
The background is left inside letters like O, P or A — how do I fix it?
Letter holes are cleared automatically, with the Contiguous switch on or off. If colour is still left inside a letter, that area is almost certainly a slightly different shade to the outer background (a soft shadow, glow or gradient), so it isn't recognised as the same colour. Click the ✎ brush on the finished design, point at the leftover area and click to remove it. Flattening the design onto one solid background colour before uploading fixes it too. One exception: with Contiguous switched on, very large enclosed areas are kept on purpose.
Do my images get uploaded to a server?
Your designs are processed on your own device, in the browser. AI filename suggestions are unavailable in this local version; you can edit filenames manually. Image to prompt in Quick mode also runs on your device. Only its Detailed mode sends the image, straight from your browser to Google Gemini with your own key, and nowhere else.
Does Image to prompt need an API key?
No. Quick mode runs a small AI on your own device with no key: the first use downloads it once (about 250 MB). For richer, more accurate prompts, Detailed mode uses your own free Google Gemini key from aistudio.google.com (no card needed, with a daily limit). The key is saved only in your browser and sent only to Google.
Does it work for Amazon Merch on Demand?
Yes — it was built for Amazon Merch sellers. One click exports print-ready 4500×5400 PNG files, upscaled to fill and compressed for upload.
What file types can I use?
PNG, JPG and WebP, at any size — oversized files are automatically scaled to a safe working size. You can batch as many designs as you like.
